Overview - The Physics and Metaphysics of The Theory

by: Thomas Lee Abshier, ND

12/30/2017, revision

The Theory of Absolutes postulates that 4 types of Conscious Particles, compose all the mass and wave-particles of the universe.  These 4 fundamental particles were spoken into existence by the Word, from the mind of God.

There are 4 fundamental particles: from which the 30 fundamental particles of conventional physics are formed.

The 4 Conscious Particles are of 2 classes:

1) lepton Conscious Particles (lepton CPs),

2) quark Conscious Particles (quark CPs).

The lepton Conscious Particles include:

a) electron Conscious Particles, (eCPs)

b) positron Conscious Particles  (

The quark Conscious Particles are:

a) up quark Conscious Particles,

b) anti-up Conscious Particles.

From these 4 Conscious Particles, the entire lepton family and entire quark family are formed.

From these the were created the entire structure of the manifest physical universe.  God created these conscious points by His own declaration and gave them rules to follow, the ability to perceive, process, and respond.  As a result, the universe can function without much input, guidance, or correction.  But, because the particles are conscious and have the ability perceive, process, and respond, they can, and will, obey God’s commands.  Thus, miracles can happen at God’s direction.

God has hidden Himself from direct view so that we can focus on living in His world without the overwhelming distraction of His presence.  When God has fully manifested Himself, there can be no true Free Will since the right way of action is obvious.  When truth produces obvious goodness, and the temptations of evil are seen for the facade of quick pleasure and long term pain, the lie of evil pales to an insignificant temptation.  In the full, unfiltered light of God’s glory and the Truth and goodness of His Way, there is no tension between good and evil, no mystery to solve, and no drama to unfold.  The play of the earth drama is at its end.  There is no temptation, only good and Godly action and relationship are chosen.  Men choose to love God and one another as much as self.  Such a world is a kingdom of Heaven-like place, and is a time and place for it, but it does not grow the souls of men.  Such a world does not allow for the polarities of life, love and hate, victory and defeat, joy and sorrow, expectation followed by satisfaction or disappointment, naivete and maturity, challenge and overcoming.  The universe is a place where souls are sown as seeds, fresh and untested, untried and callow.  From this place of spiritual infancy, God exposes us to the trials of humanity, nature, and spiritual forces.  The ultimate goal may be the growing of each man into full spiritual maturity.  “When He comes, we will be like Him”, 1 John 3:2.  Our end is maturity, but it is the journey from seed to harvest that makes the story, the drama, the grist of the mill of life.  God has hidden Himself behind, within, and surrounding all of life.  We are blessed to have been allowed us to live His world, with the opportunity to overcome the darkness and be co-Creators with Him.  In this play, the rules are actually simple, just love God, other people, follow His Laws, confess your errors, repent, try again, and accept the forgiveness that God has extended through His Son.  The confusion about origins, meaning, purpose, and law creates a context for existence on earth where we must follow God’s laws by faith.

We demonstrate our love of God by loving His Law.  Those who resonate with His heart desire to be like Him.  He has hidden His full brilliance and beauty behind the veil of an extremely complex creation.  He has built the universe, and designed our souls so that we are tempted to participate fully in the animalistic pleasures and drives of the flesh.  As a result, to have a relationship with God, we must use our will to resist the selfish drives to pleasure, and instead nurture our hearts in obedience to His Law.  We must go through the same process of choosing to follow the Holy Spirit perfectly, just as Jesus did.  God the Father may have tried to make the universe many times before doing it perfectly.  In a similar process, we must continue to try to live a perfect and lawful life, where each mistake instructs us.  As a result, the disasters, sorrows, and defeats of life are simply lessons, and we can have faith that each setback will provide the groundwork for a more successful future if we are committed to following the way of the Lord.

God has created a world that has captured out interest by giving us drives for personal flesh satisfaction.  He has disguised that the substance and existence of the universe is nothingness, void, created from the Word, ex nihilo.  In this, God deserves praise and honor for miraculously creating a universe with meaning and significance, despite the fact that He created it from nothing but pure consciousness.  Understanding the fundamental nature of the universe highlights the question, “What is the purpose and meaning of life?”  And of course, the answer is relationship.  God’s nature is love.  He is in relationship with every particle of His creation and He appreciates and loves the part each point plays in His play.

We all look for proof of the existence of God, but deep inside we all know God exists, and that knowing Him will help reveal life’s purposes, perspectives, and proper boundaries.  Therefore we search for evidence of God in philosophy, science, relationships, accomplishment, and pleasure.  The symmetry, organization, and detailed interrelationships of life are evidence of God’s handiwork and His nature.  The world of particle physics provides a deep view into the nature of God because of its utter naked simplicity.

But the creation gets complicated very quickly as lepton and quark Conscious Particles agglomerate to form hundreds of subatomic particles.  The variety and complexity of their interactions can only be observed indirectly through mathematical tools and sense-extending instruments.  As a result we run the very real risk of becoming confused and believing the model is reality, that the map is the territory.  We have seen this happen repeatedly throughout history and currently we have come to worship Quantum Mechanics and Relativity.  The New Age movement has connected Quantum Mechanics with the human potential movement and tried to rationalize man’s power to influence the universe by prayer and intent through invoking the mysterious concepts of Quantum Mechanics.

The wrong uses of these metaphysical concepts are leading people away from truth into worshipping themselves and other fictional gods.  But, by correctly analyzing the data, we should be able to create a map that more closely represents the territory.  This is the goal of the Theory of Absolutes, to look at Sub-Subatomic Particles, Quantum Mechanics, Field Theory, and Relativity to show that they all point toward the God of the Bible.

On the subatomic level the processes of interaction are elemental and allow us to more clearly see the fundamental laws governing the creation.  Knowledge of these elemental processes helps us understand the nature of the world around us, since all of the physical creation rests on the shoulders of these basic subatomic processes.  But, even though these subatomic interactions are powerful and elemental in describing the universe, there are still probably forces that God introduces de novo at larger levels.  By seeing how the microscopic world functions, we can extrapolate with greater certainty how He influences the creation at the macroscopic level.  Therefore, the study of the physical universe should be the basis of all psychology, philosophy, and theological examination.

Thus, our discussion will focus on the evidence of God’s existence in the structure of the physical universe.  We will examine the proposition that God has created the universe using His mind and declaration.  Therefore, we will look into the substructure of matter for evidence that the subatomic particles at their most fundamental level are conscious and capable of perception, processing, and reaction.  It is these particles which will by their rules of interaction produce and direct the unfolding of the genesis story for the physical universe.  And, at the center of this drama are 4 elementary Conscious Particles, which follow the lawful orders of God and ultimately manifest life.

The genesis of creation depends on the laws governing the interaction of the electron and positron.  These laws include:

  1. The electron and positron are both points of consciousness which are capable of changing their point of perspective (i.e. they can move from point to point in the universe, and thus change their position over time).
  2. They are able to perceive other conscious points (i.e. other electrons and positrons),
  3. They are able to exert an influence on other particles (i.e. they exert force on each other via Electro Magnetic Fields).  The influence of an electron on another particle depends on the relative speed and distance.
  4. Note; The fundamental forces that particles exert upon each other are Electric, Magnetic, and Gravitational.  The presence of a field exerts a force on another particle.
  5. Force is the rate of change in velocity of a particle due to its lawful response to the presence of a field emitted by another particle.  Force changes the acceleration of a particle.
  6. All other apparent forces and effects are the result of these basic force and interaction phenomenon.

A great deal of effort and research has been applied to particle physics experiments which create larger and more massive subatomic particles.  Other experiments probe the inner structure of particles such as the neutron and proton.  Large particles are created by slamming atoms, proton-antiprotons, or neutrons into each other.  The resultant heavy particles that arise from these collisions are identified by noting the tracks of the decay products we detect in the bubble chamber tracks.  We may not be able to actually see the existence of a super heavy particle, but we can extrapolate that it existed by looking at the expected types of decay products that would form from such a particle.  This is how new particles are identified.

Particle Physicists build ever-more powerful particle accelerators, so they can direct atoms and subatomic particles into ever more energetic collisions.  The higher the particle’s energy, they more energy is available to convert into mass, which will of course produce ever-larger particles.  The concept of using more energetic particles to probe the depths of the atom more deeply has some truth, but in general the higher energy collisions simply give us evidence of the existence of particles which may have been seen under the high energy Big Bang conditions of the early universe.

As the universe expanded, these high-energy massive particles decayed into ordinary matter.  One of the goals of Particle Physics is to validate the Standard Model by finding evidence of the existence of all the predicted particles in the particle zoo.  The Standard Model is somewhat like that periodic table of elements, in that the orderly pattern of elements predicts the existence of elements that are missing from the order.  If we validate the Standard model we have one more model that accurately reflects the structure of the universe.  And, by knowing the actual organization of the universe in one area of science, we can infer the rules that govern the universe on that level.  The study of the rules at this level is especially important because by knowing the rules of interaction between particles, and having accurate models of the universe, we can more accurately we infer from analogy and parallax the actual elemental rules that God used to create the universe.  The secular scientist is not looking for evidence of God necessarily; he looks at how the universe assembles itself due to the forces between structures.  And, at the level of the subatomic particle, we begin to see the evidence of the most elemental forces.  In turn, it is easier to use the parallax of multiple viewpoints of scientific evidence, theology, and psychology to infer the purpose of God has established for our lives.

Likewise, the astronomer seeks to solve the same puzzle of meaning by looking at the large picture of the creation.  Currently, many consider the Big Bang theory as an adequate model to explain the origin of the observed astronomical universe and the high energy complex subatomic particles seen in the particle accelerators.

Another contending theory proposes a Steady State universe which has existed forever.  The question of a beginning or a creation is avoided in such a theory by postulating an eternity of existence.  We find such an explanation intuitively unsatisfying because our life experience in the realm of time supports only processes that have a beginning.  Thus, such a theory does not provide a scientific explanation since there is no evidence to support such a perspective, rather such a theory falls under the category of faith, as do all theories that confront the question of origins.

In the steady state universe the energy of the universe eternally flows from one place to another with its particles and fields coalescing alternately into energy centers, and then dissipating, only to reform as new aggregations of Galactic centers that repeat the cycle of dissipation and reformation.  The eternity of the universe cannot be easily confronted because of the unknown nature of the universe’s boundaries, and the level of intervention that God supplies to the universe.  In a totally bounded universe without external input we could hypothesize a universe which would, after countless ages, dissipate into an eventual heat death with a totally smooth distribution of mass and fields.  But, the eternal fate of the universe is unknown given that we have no data to determine the nature of the interaction of mass with the edge of the universe, and the fact that we do not know God’s intent to intervene and continue the process of creation.

Other theorists have proposed multiple dimensions, with the fundamental particles of creation being organized in the form of strings with sizes ranging from tiny to galactic.  The mathematics associated with this theory defy numerical computation and cannot be used to prove or disprove its applicability to reality.  Nevertheless, such a theory, while it may accurately describe the universe in its interaction, is intuitively unsatisfying, and gives little understanding to the structures and substance of nature.  Mathematical models are deductive maps; they are not the actuality of the real world.  This trap of believing reality is the model has caused us to pursue quantum particles with no definite location, quarks that cannot be seen, gravity that bends space, relativity that slows time, and electromagnetic fields that transmit without a medium.  All of these phenomena have an alternate explanation which together unifies all fields and particles into one single Theory of Absolutes.

After investing billions of dollars in research, and engaging the finest minds of our last 3 or 4 generations, we now have identified hundreds of particles in the “sub-atomic zoo”.  The original particles discovered by the pioneers in nuclear physics at the turn of the 20th century were the electron, proton, and neutron.  Initially it was thought that the atom was just a hard and indivisible sphere.  But, more energetic probes of the atom revealed the hard inner nucleons, the neutron and proton.  Eventually the two nucleons were shown to have an internal structure made of quarks.  The up and antiup quarks are fundamental, but that the rest of the quark flavors (down, strange/charm, top/bottom) are composed of complex mixtures of lepton CPs and quark CPs, in a configuration which decays quickly.  Quarks cannot exist alone, because once isolated, they have enough energy to pull an anti-quark out of the quark Dipole Sea to form a meson, with the other half of the Dipole Particle re-bonding with the decay into DPs  contained in a space the size of a proton, neutron, or other complex subatomic particle.

Over the years, theory and data have illuminated much about the relationship between the subatomic particles.  One of the first subatomic decay processes identified by the pioneers of nuclear physics was decay of the neutron into a proton, electron, and a neutrino.  They called this process “beta decay” because the ejected electron was called a Beta particle. (Note: an Alpha particle was ejected by heavy nuclei.  The Alpha particle was a naked Helium nucleus, i.e. 2 protons and 2 neutrons).  The spontaneous decay of the neutron was later explained by a theory that the neutron was held together by a force called the “weak force”.  Later theoretical work by Steven Weinstein (sp???) showed that the Electromagnetic force and the Weak Force were actually part of the same force.  Thus, it is now called the “Electro-Weak” force.

Later theory proposed the existence of a “Strong Force” to explain the fact that protons and neutrons could aggregate in the nucleus without repulsion. The foundation of most of the subatomic theories revolves around the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle.  The size of the particle or space is determined, and then the energy associated with that space is computed by using the Uncertainty Principle Equation.  This method of computation has been very successful in determining the energy of new particles and strength of forces.  But, again, this success does not prove existence of a Strong or Weak Force, only that the patterns of interaction within the particles are consistent with the computational system.

A more intuitively satisfying explanation for the forces and energies seen in the subatomic world is proposed in the Theory of Absolutes.  Here we postulate that all the subatomic and macroscopic forces: Electromagnetic, Weak, Strong, and Gravity are all subsets in various ways of the Electromagnetic Force.  The Weak force is not a force at all, but rather a decay particle that forms as an intermediate when various types of particles decay.  The “Exchange Particle” theory can be discarded as an artifact when we realize that subatomic particles are made of electrons and positrons that configure themselves in various ways.  And, that Electromagnetic forces of attraction and repulsion dictate how particles aggregate.

The theory of Quantum Chromodynamics was developed by Murray Gel-Mann, for which he received the Nobel Prize.  The theory predicted that neutrons were made up of 3 quarks, which are particles which have charges of +1/3, +2/3, -1/3, and -2/3.  The quark theory is very difficult to prove or disprove because quarks cannot be found in isolation because they decay immediately into other less energetic species if they venture outside of the confined space of the nucleus.

Over the years the Quantum Chromodynamic model has proven very useful in predicting the existence of new and previously undetected subatomic particles.  Thus, we can say that theory and observation are consistent with the neutron and proton being composed of 3 quarks (e.g. Up and Down quarks).  The theory predicts that adding large amounts of energy to an Up or Down quark will transform it into a more massive quark, such as the Strange and Charm quark.  And, further, if large amounts of energy are added to a Strange and Charm quark, that they will transform into the much heavier Top and Bottom quarks.  Bubble chambers have detected the predicted decay signatures of each of these quarks at Fermi lab, CERN, and other particle accelerators.

Throughout the examination of the Theory of Absolutes, we will continue to reframe conventional physics theory into a new paradigm.  We will take each of the major fields of modern physics (particle physics, quantum physics, relativity, and field theory) and show how each can be integrated as part of a seamless whole.  The unifying principle at the center of this entire examination is that particles are conscious, interact by projecting thoughts that travel through every medium at the local speed of life, detect the presence of the “thought-commands” projected by other particles, add up all the forces on the particle, and then move a distance in the next moment to correspond to that force.

I have considered the nature of the particle universe for most of my life, but I had my conceptual breakthrough in March of 1987.  It was at that time when I had my revelation about the conscious nature of the universe.  Other theorists have likewise been diligently and intensely examining the data and thinking about how the universe must be assembled.  The beauty of defining the fundamental particle of consciousness is that it can then be used as the building block from which to create all of the more complex particles.  The keynote properties of the fundamental particle are indivisibility and permanence.

One additional complication to our conceptualization of the nature of the subatomic particles is that they act and interact according to the laws of Quantum Mechanics.  In particular, the Schrödinger Wave Equation describes the location and movement of the subatomic particles around the nucleus.

It is my thesis that the fundamental particles of matter and antimatter have an eternal, God-created spirit, which manifests as wave-like packets of energy that display the properties of charge, spin, and quantum behavior.  From these basic properties, all the other effects and interactions of the micro and macro world can be exhibited.  But, simply creating a spirit of matter and antimatter is insufficient to make the creation work.  The key to manifesting the real world is the principle of the divinely ordained rule set.

This rule set must be universal, in that it is applied locally throughout the entire universe.  In this conception of the universe, the particles which comprise the universe must act on the level of intention, perception, and response based on a divinely ordained rule set.

It is the purpose of this book to attempt to elaborate a possible rule set that governs the actions, response, and communication between the particles/spirits of matter and antimatter.  The fundamental thesis is that the universe is populated with points of matter which are aware, and can compute and will respond lawfully to the interactions.

The thesis of “conscious matter” is not the normal conception of the universe.  There are some New Age, Animistic, and Native American philosophies which view the universe as conscious.  The idea of the Mother Earth as the spirit Gaia, is the most well known such philosophy/religion.  The Native American vision quest with its connection with nature, animals, plants, and earth spirits is also fairly well known.  These philosophies are in general condemned as pagan and polytheistic by Christianity.  But, in my theory, these religions are simply seen as an incomplete view of a larger whole, where the God of the Bible is the supreme Lord of the lesser spirits of the creation.  There is no need to fear the other world religions and philosophies.  They are simply incomplete or inaccurate conceptions of life.

The possibility of such error arising about the nature of life, and the proper rules by which it functions, is purposefully built into the central framework of the universe.  Child rearing, teaching technology and method, is one of life’s most central occupations and struggles.  Raising a child is largely about forming his mind to make shortcut assumptions about how life operates.  And from these assumptions, the child then acts and reacts, and exercises force to manifest life in the way he has already conceived it.  In other words, faith and concept are self fulfilling prophecies.  But, the problem is, that if error is taught, error will be manifested.

This would not be a problem if there were not consequences to error.  But error produces pain, and it often takes generations for an error or philosophy or concept to show its fruit on a wide enough scale for a society to reject that concept.  And, if there is no outside teaching, the error of an entire society may reach a point of some stability, and the pain associated with the error is institutionalized.  But, the problem with any error, any imperfection of concept is that there is a cost to it.  Thus, a society which embraces a wrong or incomplete view of God, religion, or any other social or scientific philosophy will in turn be limited and subject to the pain associated with this error.

As such, it is not necessary to be embarrassed about confronting error.  Error is simply one of the forces that must be met and overcome in life.  Life must have the possibility of error, ignorance, and deception for life to be a free expression of spirit.  The possibility of making and choosing error provides one of the most important forces of resistance to the full, perfect, and joyous manifestations of life.  But, without an opposing force to freedom, it is impossible for the choices, actions, and reactions of people to be meaningful.  Thus, the process of correcting spiritual error is a valid, worthy, and important aspect of life’s interaction.

Such a view of life is deeply embedded within the view of the universe from the perspective of “conscious life”.  It is my thesis that if people were more aware of the fundamental nature of “matter” as the “stuff of creation” being the first expression of God as He manifested the “physical” level, that it would be a good start toward 1) Belief in God, 2) Walking in the righteous behavior and attitudes of God’s perfect Way, and 3) Developing technologies which made full use of the possibilities that are embedded inside of God’s rules.
